Oh, how we love technology—especially when it means fewer hot tools hogging precious bathroom real estate. The best multi-stylers bundle several styling jobs into one device, using interchangeable attachments to curl, smooth, straighten, volumize, and, in some cases, take hair from wet to dry. They’re particularly handy if you’re the type to want bouncy curls on Monday, a sleek blowout on Wednesday, and something entirely different by the weekend—or you simply want to streamline your routine without sacrificing options.
With seemingly endless configurations crowding the category, we narrowed the field to the three standouts our editors think are worth the investment—and fittingly, every one is an Allure Best of Beauty Award winner.

Best High Tech: Dyson Airwrap Co-anda2x Multi-Styler & Dryer
Why it’s worth it: If you thought the Airwrap had already reached peak Airwrap, the 2026 Best of Beauty Award-winning Dyson Airwrap Co-anda2x Multi-Styler and Dryer somehow found room for upgrades. The biggest addition is under the hood: Its new Hyperdymium 2 motor is 30% more powerful than the previous generation and delivers twice the air pressure. That translates to faster drying, more tension for smoothing and straightening, and a stronger Coanda airflow—the physics phenomenon that uses fast-moving air to draw hair toward and around the attachment for easier curling. The six-in-one tool can dry, curl, wave, smooth, volumize—and now take hair from wet to straight with the new Air Straightener 2x attachment, which uses powerful airflow and smooth plates to pull hair taut as it dries rather than blasting it with the high heat of a traditional flatiron. And because this is Dyson we’re talking about, the Airwrap recognizes which attachment you’ve clicked into place, automatically adjusts the heat and airflow to the attachment, and remembers your preferred settings for next time.
For all that souped-up tech, though, the Co-anda2x is surprisingly lightweight, clocking in at just under a pound. Another handy upgrade is that the Co-anda2x automatically shuts off when you set it down—particularly useful when you’re stopping to section thick or curly hair. (One ding for frequent fliers: It’s not dual voltage, so you’ll have to settle for a travel hair-dryer instead for some international trips.)
In other words, this isn’t simply another Airwrap with a few new attachments; it’s lighter, considerably more powerful, smarter about your styling preferences, and capable of taking on more of your routine with a single tool.
Best Value: Shark Beauty Shark Glam 5-in-1 Air Styler & Dryer
Why it’s worth it: Shark Beauty’s Shark Glam 5-in-1 Air Styler & Dryer takes the whole one-tool-does-it-all thing pretty seriously. The 2026 Best of Beauty Award winner’s secret sauce is a combination of powerful airflow and heat-controlled ceramic, allowing you to bounce between air-powered styling and more traditional hot-tool territory without reaching for a separate flatiron or hot brush. The Silki Hot Tool + Air Straightener, for example, sandwiches hair between powered ceramic plates while high-speed air dries it, taking strands from wet to straight in one step; meanwhile, the Glossi Hot Tool + Air Glosser pairs airflow with a heated ceramic surface to stretch hair, smooth it, and build a bouncy, high-shine blowout. There are also Coanda Auto-Wrap Curlers that use airflow to automatically wrap hair around the barrels, plus a Styling Concentrator and FrizzFighter Finishing Tool in the Straight & Wavy set.
For those of us who have sacrificed a fingertip in pursuit of perfectly styled hair, there’s some reassuring tech working behind the scenes, too: Heat Sense Technology checks the temperature 1,000 times per second and regulates airflow so it never exceeds 302 degrees Fahrenheit, while the dermatologist-developed Scalp Shield mode automatically lowers the temperature around the roots to limit extreme heat exposure on new growth.
Put all of that together, and you get a tool that impressed our editors across very different hair types. Our tester with 3C curls loved how easily the Glam took her coils to silky-smooth, while another tester with thick hair went from damp to straight in about 10 minutes. Her verdict pretty much says it all: “Life-changing.”
Best Curling Set: WavyTalk Multi Curl 5-in-1 Curling Wand Set
Why it’s worth it: Designed specifically for dry hair, the Wavytalk Multi Curl 5-in-1 Curling Wand Set is an interchangeable traditional hot-tool system (not an air styler) with five ceramic attachments that let you bounce between tight spirals, wavy bends, bouncy curls, and va-va-voom volume without cluttering your bathroom with five separate styling tools. There’s a skinny 0.5-inch Micro Wand for tight spirals, a 0.5-to-1-inch Tapered Barrel for curls that vary in width, a 1-inch Bubble Barrel for more tousled, beachy texture, and a 1.25-inch Curling Wand for bigger curls and waves. The wildcard is the 1.5-inch Thermal Brush, which swaps ringlets for smooth, bouncy volume and comes in particularly handy for refreshing second-day hair or giving bangs some oomph.
Instead of futuristic tech, the 2025 Best of Beauty Award winner is all about options. Each attachment clicks onto the same handle, which heats up in about 30 seconds, while ceramic coatings help distribute heat evenly as you style. There are two temperature settings—356 and 410 degrees Fahrenheit for the curling attachments, with slightly lower heat options for the thermal brush.
So while it isn’t the most customizable iron we’ve tried, the sheer variety of barrels makes it easy to switch up your look. Even better: It’s compact, costs a fraction of many multi-stylers, and is dual voltage, so it’s just as practical for travel as it is at home.

If you want unmatched frizz control, try the T3 Aire 360: It gave our tester a super-sleek, shiny finish, while the ceramic curling barrel created a soft, bouncy blowout. It’s lightweight and intuitive to maneuver and maxes out at 320 degrees to help minimize heat damage, but it doesn’t come with as many attachments as our winning options.
If you want a wet-to-dry option, go with the Drybar All-Inclusive: Its mix of air-powered and heated attachments lets you go from wet hair to a finished style, whether you’re after a smooth blowout, curls, or more volume. The trade-off: It’s on the heavier side, which can make longer styling sessions a bit more of an arm workout.
If you want to take your styler abroad, meet BaBylissPro Nano Titanium StyleSwitch Ionic Multi-Styler & Dryer: Five interchangeable attachments let you dry, smooth, volumize, and curl with one tool, while Nano Titanium technology and ionic airflow help tamp down frizz and boost shine. It’s also dual-voltage and the most affordable of the similar multistylers we tested. And while its nine heat-and-speed combinations offer more flexibility for different hair types and styling needs, users found that figuring out your sweet spot can take a little trial and error.
